Line Chart

A chart connecting closing prices with a continuous line — the simplest representation of price history over time.

Card view

A line chart plots only the closing price of each period and connects consecutive closes with a straight line. It strips away intrabar noise (open, high, low) and gives the cleanest view of trend direction and key closing levels.

Technical analysts use line charts to identify trendlines and support/resistance levels based purely on where price closes — considered more significant than intrabar extremes in many frameworks. Daily line charts are particularly useful for spotting macro structure without being distracted by wicks.
