RTY (E-mini Russell 2000)
CME E-mini futures on the Russell 2000 small-cap index. $50 per point — same multiplier as ES but tracks 2,000 US small-cap stocks.
Formula
P&L = (Exit − Entry) × $50
RTY tracks the Russell 2000 index — 2,000 US small-capitalization stocks. It is the benchmark for domestic small-cap equity risk and is sensitive to economic growth expectations, credit conditions, and USD strength (small-caps are more domestically focused).
- Multiplier: $50 per index point
- Tick size: 0.10 points → $5/tick
- Micro equivalent: M2K ($5/pt)
RTY is less liquid than ES but serves as a useful risk-on/risk-off barometer relative to ES. Divergences between RTY and ES can signal shifts in market breadth.
