Bullish Harami
A large bearish candle followed by a small bullish candle inside the first — downside momentum is stalling at the bottom of a downtrend.
The Bullish Harami has a long bearish first candle followed by a short bullish candle whose body fits inside the first. It appears at the bottom of a downtrend.
The large red candle shows initial selling dominance. The small green body inside it shows that selling momentum is suddenly contained — sellers can no longer push price lower on a closing basis. While weaker than a Bullish Engulfing, it warns that the downtrend may be pausing. Confirmation the next session is important before acting.
